A confidential individually tailored one-to-one programme to develop business leaders who are energised, proactive and effective and who bring the best out of those they manage, within the context of the organisational change process.
Coaching is about unlocking the potential of the individual client. However, CLC never forgets that the organisation is the ultimate client. Therefore, the context for CLC coaching is to unlock individual energy, creativity and commitment in support of the organisation and its change goals.
coaching involves a series of one and a half hour meetings at about two week intervals for a six to nine month period to help change attitudes and deep seated mindsets that inhibit change, and to manage a range of different responses to change to create more effectiev leadership behaviour.
The process involves dialogue / unblocking at two levels:
An increase in:
The coach meets with the client to establish the desired outcomes of the coaching programme and agrees success measures i.e. 'how will we know that this coaching programme has been successful?'
It may be valuable to involve the client's boss in the contracting process.
The coach will also discuss the use of:
The individuals response to CRS
Leadership styles inventroy to provide 360 degree feedback from others on strengths / weaknesses of leadership style
The coach meets with the client for a series of two weekly coaching sessions for six to nine months. Whilst the coach and client are working towards the delivery of an agreed contract the actual role / specific agenda of sessions to achieve the contract will be determined by the emerging client needs through the course of the sessions.
The coaching session will probably include discussion of:
Early on
Then
Coaching is an ongoing iterative process that works around the core objectives that get set early on. Usually the 'goal posts' have moved during the course of the coachnig programme. However, it is still a useful discipline to stop at intervals to ask 'what did we aim to achieve and what have we actually achieved?'
If the client's boss has been involved then the coach / client report back on what has been achieved and learned through coaching.
The client may choose to repeat the leadership inventory to assess progress.
