A Wealth of Experience

 

Fred is a management consultant, executive coach, trainer and facilitator with over thirty years' experience of leading innovative teams, transforming working methods, building personal skills, and inspiring people.  The focus of his activity is to align the vision and energy of individuals and teams with the needs of the organisation - and so to transform both.

 

He has worked with clients such as Astra Zeneca, Astra, Aker Kvaerner, Akzo Nobel, Bayer, ABB, IBM, AT&T, Cambridge-MIT Institute, Global Refund, Lloyds TSB, Lucent, NCR, Nycomed and Hong Kong Telecom in Europe, USA, Canada, Middle East, Hong Kong, Australia and Japan, and with various Government Agencies and armed services, churches and charities in the UK.

 

Illustrative Assignments and Activities

 

  • Supporting leaders to obtain synergies and benefits following the merger of five companies in the oil and gas engineering industry
  • Leading a project alongside the client’s General Manager and senior team  to establish values and behaviours in a global chemical company
  • Leading a team to shape and support an alignment with a new strategic direction of  the top 500 leaders of a UK bank of 33,000 people 
  • Working with client executives to transform the effectiveness of global and multicultural development teams in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Supporting the members of the Executive Team of a global financial business to step up to the  leadership challenges and changes needed to take their company to the next level of strategic reach and profitability
  • Supporting leaders, key professionals and teams, to align with and adjkust to the demands of a radical new strategy  following the merger of two global, but culturally distinct, companies

Qualifications

 

Fred graduated from Durham University in Politics and Economics

 

Individual approach


As a line manager in IBM Fred encouraged people to want to change by personal example and team leadership.  As a coach, trainer and facilitator he helps people develop their capabilities, and apply them most effectively in their various roles.  As a consultant, he works with the interplay of people and organisations.  The motivating focus of Fred's work is his enthusiasm for and awareness of how people can be inspired to transform themselves and their organisations.
