Martin is a change implementation specialist, executive coach, facilitator and trainer with more than 20 years of experience in commercial, research and industrial organisations. He works with senior leaders and leadership teams to help them create their vision, and then with the often challenging process to ensure that the vision is realised. He has led and participated in large-scale organisational change implementation programmes.
He has worked with clients in the UK, continental Europe, Japan and North America including Akzo Nobel, Astra Zeneca, 3Com, Lawson Mardon, Bayer Pharmaceuticals, Novo Nordisk, the Government of Finland, Kvaerner Oil and Gas, Siemens, Japan Steel and Nycomed.
Martin has a BA and MA from Cambridge University in Natural Sciences and Social and Political Science. He also has a post-graduate Diploma in Social Administration from the University of York. He completed three years counselling training with the Institute of Psychosynthesis. He is licensed in the Team Climate Inventory team feedback tool, with ASE. He is also licensed in The Organisation Workshop (a simulation that deepens understanding of processes in organisations), with Power and Systems Training.
Martin worked for many years developing his professional skills, exploring a great number of techniques, methodologies and models to help him support business leaders to implement their visions. Having internalised these methodologies and models his approach now is to focus on quickly forming and then maintaining trust based relationships with leaders, founded on integrity.
Having formed such a relationship he works with a leader, and often their team, to explore and define their vision, to develop their strategy and then to implement it. In the course of the implementation Martin supports the leader through the business challenges that arise and with making the personal and attitudinal changes that may be needed by them and their team. Martin has so often see that when people find the way to align their business vision with their personal values they usually discover great energy, commitment and creativity.
