A Wealth of Experience

 

Paul worked in leadership positions in complex engineering-based manufacturing businesses for 28 years. His industry experience over this time was in battery manufacture, domestic appliances and aerospace and he developed expertise in procurement and manufacturing general management. Leadership positions included a board position as manufacturing director of a highly successful SME and as a senior commercial executive in the UK’s leading international aerospace business.

 

In 2003 he became an independent management consultant dedicated to helping organisations and those who work in them reach their full potential. He has worked with many national and international organisations since then as a consultant, executive coach, trainer and change facilitator.

 

Illustrative Assignments and Activities

 

  • Facilitated a procurement team in the German division of a Franco/German aerospace business to achieve extraordinary cost savings
  • Consulted with a major Belgium aerospace first tier business resulting in them developing significantly improved procurement expertise
  • Led a technical team in a French owned international compliance organisation to acquire a wide area network (WAN) for over 600 offices via three data centres. The project delivered a six figure saving and enhanced information system
  • Supported and worked with the leader of a UK based aerospace consultancy on two projects
  • Developed an Executive Coaching business with a range of corporate and private clients in the aerospace, oil and gas, financial services and voluntary sectors. Works with senior managers and has witnessed significant improvement in motivation and performance which has been acknowledged by the clients
  • Developed and delivered a coach training programme and supervision process as part of a UK regional initiative to improve the competence of a large cluster of aerospace companies in the North West of England
  • Permanent member of a team running an innovative 10 day Leadership Development Programme for an international bank
  • Managed a change programme for the Scottish division of a leading UK national charity

 

Qualifications

  • MA in Psychosynthesis Psychology Applied to Coaching – Institute of Psychosynthesis and Middlesex University (2007)
  • BTech in Applied Physics – University of Bradford (1974)
  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) (1991)
  • Certified Consultant in Corporate Transformation Tools (CTT) with Richard Barrett and Associates (2003)
  • Trained Appreciative Inquiry facilitator
